About Us

The Pompano Eagles Football & Cheer program is a youth sports organization based in Pompano Beach, Florida in the AYFL (Amercian Youth Football League). It provides young athletes with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading while emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and community involvement. The program is typically run in partnership with the city’s parks and recreation department, along with the support of dedicated local volunteers.

Designed to introduce children to football and cheer in a structured, supportive, and community-focused environment, the Pompano Eagles is a 501c3 non-profit that help participants develop not only their athletic abilities but also important life skills such as leadership, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Beyond the field, the program plays a vital role in bringing families together and strengthening community bonds.

The Pompano Eagles also take great pride in their strong legacy and impressive alumni network. Several athletes who began their journeys in this program have gone on to achieve success at the highest levels of football, including the NFL. Notable alumni include Lamar Jackson (Heisman Trophy winner and 2019 NFL MVP), Patrick Peterson (8-time Pro Bowler), Jabari Price, and Corey Simon (Super Bowl champion). These success stories highlight the program’s ability to inspire and develop talent from a young age.

The main goal of the Pompano Eagles Youth Football and Cheer Program is to help children grow both on and off the field by building athletic skills, confidence, and strong character in a safe and positive environment. As part of the city’s recreation initiatives, the program continues to serve as a foundation for youth development and community pride.
